McLeod says, “ The images chosen for Lucky – Tommy Douglas, the chicken and the egg – are deliberately ambiguous, humorous, and playful. I chose the colours as an homage to the social political protest posters of the 1930’s and 40’s. The works use the methods of propaganda but resist a simple reading.”
